Thank you for visiting the website of the Tampa Bay Council of the United States Navy League.
As a father of 6, who enjoys the beauty in which we live, becoming involved in the Navy League is my way to say “thank you” to those who keep our waters safe and enjoyable for families here in Tampa Bay and beyond.
The United States is a maritime nation whose national economic and security interests are inextricably tied to the freedom of the seas. Like the United States, our Tampa Bay community is a unique “maritime” region. Your Tampa Bay Navy League Council supports those sea service members and their families here in Tampa Bay with a variety of programs including ship commissioning ceremonies, recognition and awards for our active duty, sponsoring of programs and scholarships and much more. The Navy League is a historic, dynamic organization that honors our past, present and future and focuses on important and worthwhile programs.
The Navy League has three missions: to enhance the morale of active-duty personnel and their families; inform Congress and the American public on the importance of strong sea services; and support youth through programs such as the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Junior ROTC and Young Marines that expose young people to the values of our sea services.
If you have served your country, we thank you and invite you to join. If you are a civilian, this is your opportunity to serve, and we invite you to join. With over 40,000 members Nationally, the Navy League is the “voice” forthe U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine. It is important we support the Navy League and stand together to support the heroes who keep us safe every day.
Since 1902, the Navy League stands tall as the foremost citizens’ organization. The Tampa Bay Navy League has exciting plans this year to expand our services and we need “all hands on deck” for this mission. So join us, or make a financial pledge and be a part of our crew. Thank you for visiting our page and thank you for your support of this worthy group of American patriots.
Until we meet again,
Jason D. Allen
